SALEM - John F. Carlariello, 92, of Salem, passed away at Salem Community Hospital on Nov. 14, 2013.
John was born in Leetonia, Ohio, on Jan. 6, 1921, the son of the late Peter and Elizabeth (Morreli) Carlariello.
John attended St. Paul Catholic Church in Salem and worked for the Salem China Company. He was an avid Notre Dame and Cleveland Indians and Browns fan. He also enjoyed reading and assembling electronics.
Survivors include his daughter, Cynthia Carlariello of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a son, John A. Carlariello of Salem; two granddaughters, Ashley and Kali Carlariello; and a great-grandchild, Klohe Meredith.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Beverly (Huffman) Carlariello in January of 1997; and two brothers, Edmund and Henry.
A service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, 2013, with Father Bob Edwards officiating in the chapel at Hope Cemetery in Salem.
