SALEM - Darby Scott McCoy, 44, passed away in his sleep on Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2013, at his residence, where he lived with his loving mother and one daughter. He will be greatly missed.
He was born in Kennelton, Ind., to Donald and Susie V. (Gidley) McCoy.
Darby was a dedicated tattoo artist and loved the outdoors. He had a greater love for his family.
He is survived by his mother, Susie V. McCoy of Salem; father, Donald (Jane) McCoy of Eight Mile, Ala.; daughters, Dezaray Tyson, Jessica McCoy, Jada McCoy, Catlyn Delp of Arkansas; sisters, Debbie (Scott) Weikart of Washingtonville, Christina M. McCoy of Salem, Diana June Higgins of Eight Mile, Ala., Ida Kate Sorrel of Mobile, Ala.; brothers, Dannie Lee McCoy of Semmes, Ala., Daniel R.R.(Trina) McCoy of Mellington, Tenn., and Mark A. McCoy of Rockhill, S.C.
He was preceded in death by his son, Jessie McCoy.
The family request no flowers and any contributions be made to Sixth Street Wilbur Friends Meeting House in Salem, Ohio.
