NEW WATERFORD - Police executed a search warrant at the residence of Ashley Cox and Jonathan Weaver, 3383 Pinewood Drive, #204, in regard to a possession of narcotics investigation on Monday afternoon. Cox was arrested on Sunday evening on a felony drug possession warrant for her possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia on Nov. 3 after a traffic stop in the village. Also arrested at the time was Weaver, her boyfriend, for felony domestic violence after a call was received regarding him assaulting Cox. Police learned there was a large quantity of drug paraphernalia and drug abuse instruments including hypodermic syringes and spoons used to cook narcotics inside the residence, as well as scales for weighing narcotics. Also inside the residence was suspected methamphetamine. Numerous drug paraphernalia items and a small amount of narcotics were located in the residence. The East Palestine Police Department and its K-9 unit assisted and the two are facing additional drug-related charges.
