SEBRING- Phyllis J. Beck, 70, of Salem passed away on Dec. 12, 2013, at Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.
Phyllis was born in Racoon, Ky., on July 26, 1943, a daughter of the late Lester and Hazel (Mercer) Goff. Phyllis enjoyed taking care of all people and things but especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and grandchildren.
Survivors include her companion of 15 years, Stephen Gresh of Salem; a daughter, Kimberly J. (Richard) Cole of Salem; a son, Derrek B. (Kathy) Beck of Akron; and six grandchildren, Ian Cole, Derrek Cole, Brendan Cole, Conner Cole, Sydney Beck and Wade Beck. She is also survived by three sisters, Sheila Burnette, Sharon Lowe and Karen Bentley; and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, C. Wade Beck, on Oct. 15, 1995, and a brother, Ronnie Goff.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring with Pastor Rich Thewlis officiating. Visitation will be held the hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Damascus Cemetery.
