SALEM - Beatrice "Bea" Mae Adams, 88, of Salem, died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013 at the Essex of Salem III.
She was born Oct. 21, 1925 in Winona, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Harris) Zepernick.
She was a Goshen Union High School graduate and had been employed at Church Budget in Salem in the zoning mailroom. She was a member of the Salem First Friends Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Her husband, Gordon L. Adams, whom she married April 12, 1946, preceded her in death March 2, 2013. A brother, Ray Zepernick of Salem and a sister, Gertrude Kastenhuber also preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Donald L. (Darlene) Adams of Big Prairie, Ohio, Daniel W. Adams of Lisbon and Cecil Adams of Lisbon; a daughter, Shirley Jean Johansen of Leetonia; a brother, Clyde Zepernick of Salem; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Pete Fowler officiating. Calling hours will be held Thursday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will be at Highland Memorial Park.
