Salem resident pleads guilty to manufacturing meth

LISBON - Tyia R. Patchen, 25, last known address South Howard Avenue, Salem, pleaded guilty in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court to illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacturing of drugs and illegal manufacturing of drugs. Patchen faces a mandatory prison term, which could be up to 19 years, and a $35,000 fine. According to court documents, Patchen was engaging in the manufacture of methamphetamine within the vicinity of a child in January and February. Sentencing is set for March 7.
