SALEM - Harold Lee Diehl, 84, of Salem, died Thursday morning, Dec. 19, 2013, at his home.
He was born Nov. 24, 1929, in Salem, Ohio, a son of the late Carlyle and Hazel (Kidd) Diehl.
Harold was employed as a sheet metal worker for 33 years, retiring in 1991. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954 and was a lifetime member of the V.F.W.
A brother, Ramon Diehl preceded him in death.
His wife, Gail (Loschinskey) Diehl, whom he married May 27, 1960, survives him along with a daughter, Melissa (Kevin) Corfee of Salem; three grandchildren, Nicholas (Kristy) Rothbrust, Jennifer (Cliff) Hauer and Michael Hughes; and three great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 23, 2013, at the Bunker Hill Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Burial will be at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
