Chelsey Renee Stockdale and Ryan Earl Stowers were united in marriage on July 20 at the Trinity Presbyterian Church in East Liverpool.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Theresa Stockdale and the granddaughter of Herbert and Thelma Lockhart, all of East Liverpool.
The bridegroom is the son of Brian Stowers and Davena Stowers, and the grandson of Joan Stowers, all of East Liverpool.
The Rev. Steve Cramer officiated at the double-ring ceremony. Maxine Sutherland served as organist and provided an interlude of wedding music prior to the ceremony.
The bride was escorted to the altar by her father, and given in marriage by her parents. She wore a strapless diamond white Maggie Sottero Selina gown with an airy allure of a fantasy-inspired ball gown with horsehair trimmed ruffles floating throughout the gathered tulle skirt which was adorned with glimpses of embellished lace and Swarovski crystals. The gown featured a sweetheart neckline, asymmetrical bodice and handmade flowers with Swarovski crystals, finished with a corset closure.
She carried a handheld bouquet of calla lilies, tiger lilies, purple and green hydrangeas, accented with forget me knots with crystals and a white satin wrapped stem accented with rhinestone bling wrapped around the stem of the bouquet. Attached to her bouquet was a charm from her late grandmother, Janice Kay Leon Stockdale.
Marissa Yeager Steele of East Liverpool was matron of honor. She was attired in a Jordan Fashions pansy chiffon dress with shirred bodice, draped skirt and rhinestone shoulder strap. Her bouquet consisted of purple and green hydrangeas and tiger lilies accented with silver ribbon and rhinestone bling wrapped around the stem of the bouquet.
Bridesmaids, all attired in a Jordan Fashions kiwi chiffon dress with shirred bodice, draped skirt and rhinestone shoulder strap, were Ashley Sullivan Butler and Emily Mahon, both of East Liverpool, Brittany Champion of Irondale, Emily Swogger, Jackie Morris and Brittany Bright, all of Wheeling, W. Va., Lindsay Hartzell Staten of Scio; and Shelby Mackall Stowers of Havelock, N. C., the bridegroom's sister-in-law. Their bouquets consisted of purple and green hydrangeas and tiger lilies accented with silver ribbon and rhinestone bling wrapped around the stem of the bouquet.
Esmaria Ivette Heck, daughter of Brenda Heck of East Liverpool, cousin of the bridegroom, and Brooklyn Cowart, daughter of Bethany Coward of Chester, W. Va., were flower girls. They were adorned in gowns with a white satin bodice with tulle skirt dress, a purple or green sash and purple or green rose petals in the tulle. They carried a white basket with green and purple rose petals, accented with green and purple ribbon and rhinestone bling.
The groom was attired in a Joseph and Feiss white dinner jacket with pleated black pants, platinum vest and tie and spectator shoes.
Dylan Stowers of Havelock, N. C., the bride's brother, served as best man.
Serving as groomsmen were Timothy Moore of Iowa, James Lonkert of East Liverpool, the bridegroom's cousin; Robbie Rowe of East Liverpool; and also fellow troopers, Joshua Honaker, Roger Glaspell and Marcus Broadwater, all of Logan County, W.Va., and Nick Benavides of Kanawha County, W.Va. They were all attired in black tuxedos with kiwi green and pansy purple accents, corresponding with their bridal attendant.
Liam Ryan Jordan, son of Tim and Amie Jordan of East Liverpool, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer. He was attired in a black tuxedo and carried a white satin pillow accented with purple and green ribbon and rhinestone bling.
Halle Janay Jordan, Genevieve Marie Maddox and Joseph Lockhart Maddox, all cousins of the bride, distributed the wedding programs and bubbles for the wedding.
A reception immediately followed at East Liverpool Country Club with music provided by DJ Ryan Stovall of East Liverpool.
A rehearsal dinner, hosted by the bridegroom's parents, was held on July 19 at Levanti's Italian Restaurant in Beaver, Pa.
The bride is a 2008 graduate of East Liverpool High School and a 2012 graduate of West Liberty University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and special education. She currently is a K-4 special education teacher in Chapmanville and the head high school volleyball coach at Logan High School. She is also currently working towards her master's degree in special education.
The bridegroom is a 2008 graduate of East Liverpool High School and a 2012 graduate of West Liberty University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice. In addition, he is a graduate of the West Virginia State Police Academy and currently a West Virginia State trooper.
The couple is residing in their new home in Chapmanville, W. Va., after a honeymoon trip to the Carolinas.
