Salem stops Minerva

MINERVA - The Salem boys basketball team met with strong resistance from Minerva but overpowered the Lions enough for the 61-57 victory in a make-up Northeastern Buckeye Conference game on Saturday.

The Quakers (3-6, 2-3) were led by Max Wolfgang with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Ryan Hoover also had a big game with 15 points.

The Lions (2-7, 0-5) were led by Jantsen Locke with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Nick Clapper netted 12.

Salem also won the junior varsity game 38-36.
