PERRY TWP. - Township trustees re-organized for 2014 on Monday night, retaining Trustee Cliff Mix as chairman of the three-member board and Trustee Don Rudibaugh as vice chairman.

The trustees will continue holding their meetings at 6:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month, noting that they won't be meeting on Jan. 13 since they already met. The next meeting will be held at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 27.

Trustee Don Kendrick, who also serves as the zoning inspector, reported he issued 45 zoning permits last year for a total of $1,932 in fees.

The board also went through the routine of rehiring all their employees and renamed Mark Finamore of Warren as their outside legal counsel on an as-needed basis at the rate of $100 per hour with no retainer.

All three trustees offered their thanks to the township road department, police department and fire department for all they work they've done, especially in dealing with the weather.
