SALEM - Edward R. Vidumansky, 70, formerly of Salem, died at 12:25 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, 2014, at Canal Pointe Nursing Home in Akron where he had resided the past month.
Mr. Vidumansky was born Sept. 4, 1943, in Salem, a son of Edward J. and Mary Gladys (Fox) Vidumansky and had also lived in Las Vegas, Nev.
Ed was a forklift operator for 34 years for General Motors in Lordstown. He served in the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his two daughters, Melissa (Jeff) Blackmore of Plano, Texas, and Arlene (Chris) Spahn of Charleston, W.Va.; two sisters, Diane Flory of New Bern, N.C., and Debra Vidumansky of Leetonia; a brother Dennis Vidumansky of Leetonia; and his stepmother, Jensie (Jim) Campbell of Leetonia.
In lieu of flowers, tributes in memory of Ed may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Leetonia Community Public Library.
A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Leetonia.
Arrangements are being made by the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home of Leetonia.
