- An accidental shooting was reported at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday. While at Salem Community Hospital, Harold Knight told deputies he was checking his trap lines in Unity Township at about 5:40 a.m. and found a opossum in one of his traps. Angel Lake of Ashtabula told deputies she and her boyfriend were arguing about a lighter and a beverage and he threw both into the parking lot causing them to break. Both agreed no physical violence or threats occurred.
