EAST PALESTINE - Janice I. Foster, 76, of Brookdale Avenue, died at 4:41 p.m. Tuesday at the Covington Community Campus, where she had been a patient for the past several months.
Born Nov. 15, 1937, in East Palestine, she was the daughter of the late Robert R. and Mildred M. (Mohr) Knight.
Mrs. Foster was first been employed as a secretary with Merrill-Lynch and later as a branch manager with Paine-Webber, and its successor, UBS, in Canfield, prior to her retirement several years ago. She was a member of the Centenary United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert H. Foster, whom she married March 9, 1957; two grandsons; a brother, Robert L. Knight of Henderson, Nev.; and two sisters, Judith A. Rivers of Richmond, Va., and Mary K. Orr of Sevierville, Tenn.
A son, Daniel A. Foster, preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 2009.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Centenary United Methodist Church, with her pastor, the Rev. Mark McTrustry, officiating. Burial will follow in Glenview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home (www.oliver-linsley.com).
