LISBON - A toddler and his mother were both located in East Liverpool's East End Friday evening after the Columbiana County Sheriff's Office announced earlier in the day that it was asking for the public's help in finding the pair.

Chief Deputy Allan Haueter said an East Liverpool woman called the sheriffs office after seeing the story on the WTOV 9 Crime Stoppers segment Friday evening. Deputies and East Liverpool city police went to a location she had provided in the East End and found both Dailyn Humphreys, 20, and her 1 1/2-year-old son, Brantley Carlson.

Deputies have been looking for the child and his mother after the boy's father reported him missing in Florida. In Pasco County, Fla., the 6th Judicial Circuit Court had issued an order for the child to be turned over to his father. Pasco County is on the Gulf side of Florida, north of Tampa.

Humphreys reportedly lives on East Liverpool Road, East Liverpool, but previous attempts by the Columbiana County deputies to get Humphreys and other family members to comply with the court order had been refused. So on Friday, Sheriff Ray Stone had issued a press release to the media, along with photos of both Humphreys and Carlson.

Haueter said as of 7 p.m. Friday, Humphreys was in custody on an obstruction of an order of custody warrant. Children's services took temporary custody of Carlson until such time as his father could arrange to take custody.
