GUILFORD LAKE - A 23-year-old Guilford Lake-area man was killed early Wednesday in a single-vehicle accident on state Route 172 in Hanover Township.
According to the highway patrol, John William Guappone, of Sell Road, was eastbound on Route 172 shortly after 12:30 a.m.
After he passed the Whinnery Road intersection, the patrol said, Guappone's 2013 Cadillac STS went off the right edge of the road, then went back across the road and off the north edge, striking a large tree.

The patrol is continuing its investigation. (Obituary, 3A)
