Edith B. Brown

POLAND Edith B. Brown, 93, of 301 W. Western Reserve Road, died Monday following a brief illness.

Born Nov. 8, 1920, in Petersburg, she was the daughter of Paul F. and Grace (Sheely) Beight.

Mrs. Brown worked in the shipping department of Harrold Tool Co. during World War II. She also worked as a dental assistant in Columbiana and in the office of J.C. Penney Co. in downtown Youngstown.

She and her brother Paul F. Beight ran the World House Gift Shop on Sciota Drive in Boardman and later in the carriage shop at Glenellen. She was a 93-year member of St. John Lutheran Church and an associate member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Boardman.

She was preceded in death July 25, 1982, by her husband, George E. Brown, whom she married May 7, 1949.

Among her survivors is her brother of Poland.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church. Pastor Amiee Raymond will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be at Petersburg Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 14394 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, Petersburg 4445.

Arrangements were handled by the Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home in North Lima.
