Salem First Friends Church
SALEM - Renowned international speaker Pam Stenzel will be speak at 7 p.m. today at the Salem First Friends Church, 1028 Jennings Ave. Stenzel tackles the tough issues of sex with candor, insight, humor, and the challenge for young people to get the abstinence advantage. This community wide event contains material suitable for seventh graders and older. Refreshments follow the presentation.
Swiss steak diner set at Winona Friends Church

Banquet in Salem features pork tenderloin Monday
SALEM - The Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building, 785 E. State St. Next week's sponsor is Visiting Angels.

Bishop Murry to celebrate
annual White Mass Feb. 9
YOUNGSTOWN - Bishop George V. Murry, S.J., Bishop of Youngstown, will be the principle celebrant and homilist for the 18th annual White Mass at 10:30 a.m. Feb. 9 at St. Columba Cathedral, 154 W. Wood St. A reception will follow in St. Columba Hall for members of the Lourdes Guild.
The annual White Mass is sponsored by the Lourdes Guild, an association of Catholic physicians and dentists of the Diocese of Youngstown. The Lourdes Guild assists the diocesan church in upholding and communicating Catholic medical ethics to the medical profession and throughout the wider culture.

St. Michael Church
to host Wine Taste Benefit
CANFIELD - St. Michael Church in Canfield will host its eighth annual Wine Taste Benefit at 7 p.m. Feb. 28 in its parish Family Life Center. The event will feature wines from a number of distributors in the region paired with food selections provided by Naffah Hospitality. There will also be auction items up for bid and a cash raffle drawing. Tickets are $55 per person and available from committee members or the parish office.
