LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a March 13 preliminary hearing was set for Heath A. Broadbent, 29, Youngstown, charged with trafficking in drugs for allegedly having five individually packaged bags of marijuana in his car ranging from 10 grams to 25 grams, along with three cellular devices, a weighing scale, clear plastic bags and numerous drug paraphernalia items. A pretrial was set for the same date on citations of possession of instruments to ingest or inhale a controlled substance, open container, a turn signal violation and loud exhaust.
Keith F. Wagner Jr., 34, Carrollton, was fined $825, had his license suspended for a year and required to attend a three-day program for OVI first offense, driving under suspension, failure to control and seat belt violation from 2007.
Thomas Campbell, 46, Riverside Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $250 and required 30 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Marci Mancuso, 28, Washington Street, Leetonia, was fined $500 and required 40 hours community service for two counts driving under FRA suspension and two counts of failure to display a valid sticker.
William E. Vandyke II, 49, state Route 45, Wellsville, was fined $100 for criminal trespassing for being on the property of Rose Bud Mining.
A Feb. 10 pretrial was set for Stephanie Romeo, 31, West Main Street, East Palestine, charged with assault for allegedly pushing and shoving an employee of American Health Care in East Palestine when asked to leave another patient's room.
A Feb. 10 pretrial was set for William R. Beesler Jr., 33, Ashtabula, cited with passing bad checks for allegedly writing a dishonored $301 check to Fashion Forward in Lisbon on Jan. 14.
A Feb. 24 pretrial was set for Ronald Brightwell, 51, last known address McIntosh Road, Wellsville, charged with cruelty to animals, abandoning animals and two counts of prohibitions regarding companion animals. Brightwell was accused on Jan. 3 of leaving a blond mixed breed dog tied outside with a rope and insufficient food or water, leaving the dog emaciated. The rope reportedly was embedded in the dog's flesh an inch deep for at least three weeks and no medical care was sought. Additionally, Brightwell reportedly moved away leaving the dog in this condition.
A March 4 pretrial was set for Jaymelyn Williams, 24, Girard, charged with theft for allegedly taking $100 and attempting to hide additional money in a plastic bag in a couch during a jewelry party at a Woodland Avenue, Salem, home on April 18, 2010.
A March 17 pretrial was set for William M. Mull III, 25, Euclid Street, Salem, cited with hit skip and failure to control.
A March 17 pretrial was set for John E. Ott, 42, Darlington, Pa., cited with OVI first offense and two lights required.
A march 25 pretrial was set for Sean E. Smith, 53, East Clark Street, East Palestine, cited with OVI first offense and turn signal violations.
An April 3 pretrial was set for Joey N. LaFleme, 22, East Third Street, Salem, cited with physical control with prohibited alcohol content.
