SRMC hosting '$5 Jewelry Fair'

SALEM - Salem Regional Medical Center Auxiliary is hosting a "$5 Jewelry Fair" from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 10 and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 11 in the private dining room located adjacent to the cafeteria on the ground floor.

A wide variety of jewelry and accessories, including rings, bracelets, necklaces and earrings, are all priced at $5.

Proceeds will benefit the auxiliary which raises funds to support patient services and programs at SRMC. For more information call 330-332-7126.

ODOT closing exit ramp

HUBBARD TOWNSHIP - The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced that the exit ramp from I-80 westbound to U.S. Route 62 in Hubbard Township will remain closed through 5 p.m. Feb. 14 for emergency bridge repairs.

Ensuring the safety the motoring public, ODOT is working with the contractor to make a permanent repair to the bridge. The detour will continue to be I-80 westbound to state Route 193 to I-80 eastbound.

"We appreciate the motoring public's patience with the detour and always place safety of the of the highway system as our number one priority," said Tony Urankar, ODOT District 4 deputy director.

Saxon Club hosting breakfast

SALEM - The Salem Saxon Club at 1980 Newgarden Road (state Route 9) will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 15.

Cost for adults and children is $6, and free for under 5 years. The menu includes bacon, sausage gravy and biscuits, fried potatoes, sausage, scrambled eggs, Belgian waffles, pancakes, tropical fruit, various baked goods, juice, coffee and tea.

Due to the club's fish fries that begin on Friday, March 7, there will be no breakfast buffets the months of March and April. The next breakfast buffet will be held on Saturday, May 17.
