SALEM - Morris Financial Group Inc. welcome Nate Mullen as its newest group benefits advocate.
Mullen joins the team with five years of experience in the group health insurance industry.
Mullen will be chiefly responsible for developing new business expansion as well as managing current group and individual client relationships. The firm's president, George W. Morris III, says Mullen fits the Morris Financial vision of developing strong expert client advocacy in the employee benefit arena during "these rapidly changing times" due to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA).
"We are so lucky to have such a bright young star from the local area join our Morris Financial team," said Morris. "It is important that our company evolves quickly in these changing times to best meet the needs of our Employee Benefit clients. Nate is one important piece to our future success."
When working with new customers, Mullen says he reviews every necessary detail with the client from the start, and considers every possible solution and funding strategy that's available. He says what sets Morris Financial Group apart from other firms is its attention to compliance standards set by the ACA and healthcare reform.
"In the new health care environment, there are more alternative funding solutions that most companies haven't taken a look at," said Mullen. "When it comes to funding a health care plan, we find ways to do it that help a company's bottom line and keep it compliant, but still offer a rich benefit plan to its employees."
A graduate of Salem High School, Mullen holds a bachelor's of arts degree from the University of Mount Union, where he was a standout member of the golf team. He's a member of the Western Reserve Association of Health Underwriters, and earned his designation as a Certified Healthcare Reform Specialist (CHRS) from the Employer Healthcare and Benefits Congress in 2012.
