SALEM - Sandra Jean (Hawkins) Minett, 70, of Salem, died Monday afternoon at her home.
Born May 24, 1943, in Salem, she was the daughter of Mary Josephine (Hudson) Hawkins and the late George Webb Hawkins.
Mrs. Minett was a customer service representative with Columbia Gas Company. She had also worked as a leasing manager at Lincoln Place Apartments, the Salem Presbyterian Church's preschool, as an aide for the Head Start program, and as a receptionist at Copeland Oaks. A 1961 graduate of Salem High School, she also was a member of the Salem First Christian Church where she was a Sunday school teacher.
In addition to her mother of Salem, she is survived by her husband, Ed Minett, whom she married June 10, 1966; their children, Matthew Edward (Rachele) Minett of Salem, Susanne Michelle (Michael) Searl of Cuyahoga Falls and Mark Edward (Heather Heckman) Minett of Columbia, S.C.; siblings, Carol Souders of Niles and Barbara Hawkins of Chippewa Lake; and four grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Salem First Christian Church with the Rev. Leonard Moore officiating.
A time of visitation will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen & Sons Funeral and Cremation Services and one hour prior to the services in the parlor.
