LISBON - Got drugs?
Those who do can rid their homes of unwanted prescription drugs at one of four sites throughout the county on national Prescription Drug Take-Back Day sponsored by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. April 26.
Residents can dispose of capsules and tablets at Columbiana Sparkle Market, 108 West County Line Road, Columbiana; East Liverpool City Hospital main entrance, 425 West Fifth Street, East Liverpool; Columbiana County Health Department, 7360 state Route 45, Lisbon; and Salem Medical Center, 2094 E. State S., Salem (across from the hospital).
Area residents can remain in their cars and hand off unwanted medications to local law enforcement officers at any of these sites. No identification will be required.
Medications can be kept in their original containers or removed from containers, and residents are encouraged to remove any personal identifying information from labels.
Liquids, aerosols and creams will not be accepted at this event, which is sponsored locally by ADAPT Coalition; Columbiana County Drug Task Force and local law enforcement agencies; county health department; county Mental Health & Recovery Services Board; East Liverpool Health Department; Family Recovery Center; East Liverpool City Hospital; Salem City Health Department; Salem Regional Medical Center; and Heritage-Thermal/WTI.
