EAST PALESTINE - The East Palestine Rotary Roadrunners Relay for Life Team's soup sale that was scheduled for this Saturday, April 26, has been canceled.

Saturday at Masonic Building
SALEM-A public breakfast buffet will be served from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Salem Masonic Building, 788 E. State St. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under age 10 and free for children under 2.
The menu offers pancakes, waffles, sausage, bacon, scrambled eggs, homemade sausage gravy, biscuits, homefries, toast, fruit cocktail, orange juice, coffee and tea.
The building is equipped with a handicapped accessible elevator.
Proceeds will be directed to the Salem Masonic Building Fund.

SALEM The Banquet in Salem will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building, 785 E. State St. Next week's sponsors are Bob and Linda Sebo of Salem.
The menu offers chicken noodle soup, stuffed pork chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, applesauce, fresh fruit and vegetables, and ice cream sundaes.

Ladies Auxiliary of Post 290 will
conduct 'Poppy Days' May 2-3
COLUMBIANA - The Ladies Auxiliary of Benjamin Firestone Post 290 will conduct its annual "Poppy Days" on May 2 and 3 at Sparkle Market, Farmers Bank, Huntington Bank, Ace Hardware, and the post office.
Members from the auxiliary will distribute bright red poppies which have become nationally known and the recognized symbol of sacrifice to honor the men and women who served and died for their country throughout all the wars.
Contributions will be accepted to be used by the local unit to aid veterans in need, their families, and veterans in hospitals throughout the state.

This campaign is to benefit the "Citizens with Developmental Disabilities."

Salem Communiversity Choir
will perform Sunday in Kent
KENT - The Kent State University's Salem Communiversity Choir will join the Kent State University Hugh A. Glauser School of Music Orchestra and regional campus choirs for a season-ending performance at 7:30 p.m. Sunday in the University Auditorium at Cartwright Hall on the main campus in Kent.
The concert will begin with a performance of "Calm Sea and Prosperous Voyage" by Felix Mendelssohn, conducted by Charles Latshaw, director of the Kent State orchestra.
The concert will also feature a collaboration between the orchestra and choirs presenting a single performance of Franz Joseph Haydn's "Lord Nelson Mass," conducted by Scott MacPherson, director of choral activities at Kent State. The combined choirs will include more than 150 singers and the orchestra will include 44 musicians.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for seniors and Kent State faculty and staff, $8 for non-Kent State students and $5 for children. For groups of 10 or more, tickets are $10 each. The box office is located in the lobby of the Roe Green Center in the Center for the Performing Arts, 1325 Theatre Drive on the Kent campus.
The performance is in the University Auditorium at Cartwright Hall, 650 Hilltop Drive.
