Women's Club's box lunch sale set today
COLUMBIANA - The Columbiana Women's Club's box lunch sale will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. Cost is $9.
Lisbon Music Club plans Sunday program
LISBON The Lisbon Music Study Club will celebrate National Music Week with a program at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First United Methodist Church. This year's theme "Music: The Dance of Life" will feature young musicians from the area. There is no admission fee, but donations will be accepted for the club's music scholarship fund.
Among those performing are Imogen Corrigan, Anna Marshalek, Tessa Young, Aaron Kemats, Zachary Young, Spencer Crosser, Tom Kibler, Vennesa Sawman, Lucas Clemens and Rebecca Shelton.
This year's scholarship recipients are Sarah Standish, Beaver Local; Caleb Burke, United Local; and Jesse Liggitt, Southern Local.
Salem Historical Museum opens Sunday
SALEM - The Salem Historical Society Museum opens for its 42nd season from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. The last tour begins at 3:30 p.m. The museum gift shop and office at 239 S. Lundy Ave. will be open from 9 a.m. to noon May 5, 7, 8 (mothers admitted free for Mother's Day), 12, 14, 15, 19, 21, 22, 28 and 29.
The museum will also be open from 1 to 4 p.m. May 11, 18 and 25. The public is also invited to the monthly meeting at 7 p.m. May 13. The program "Ponderosa Park" will be presented by Tom Pauley in the Dale Shaffer Library.
"Interpretation of Colorful Words found in Civil War Letters," presented by Barbara Bruff Hemmingsen, begins at 7 p.m. May 14 in the Dale Shaffer Library meeting room in conjunction with Columbiana County Genealogical, Salem and Damascus historical societies.
Nurses Association members to aid food bank
YOUNGSTOWN - District Three, Ohio Nurses Association (ONA) members will celebrate National Nurse Week May 6-12. Registered nurses from ONA will donate money, non-perishable food items and their time from noon to 2 p.m. May 6 to Second Harvest Food Bank, 2805 Salt Springs Road. Those wishing to donate non-perishable food items are asked to deliver them to the ONA office at 5669 Mahoning Ave., Suite C, before May 4.
Blood drive planned at South Range May 6
BEAVER TWP. - The South Range High School Student Council will host its third blood drive beginning at 8 a.m. May 6 at the school. So far this year, the students have raised over $1,000 in scholarship money from the American Red Cross. For every 25 donors, South Range will receive a $250 scholarship.
Blood drive scheduled at Crestview May 7
COLUMBIANA - The Crestview Music Boosters will hold a blood drive from 2 to 6 p.m. May 7 at Crestview High School. For every 25 units of blood collected, Lifeshare will award a $500 scholarship.

Hanoverton School reunion dinner scheduled
HANOVERTON - The Hanoverton School reunion dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. May 17 at the Methodist Church. Cost is $12 for dinner and $5 for dues. Kindergarten registration set at Leetonia
LEETONIA - Leetonia Elementary School will hold kindergarten registration for the 2014-15 school year from 3 to 6 p.m. May 29 and 9 a.m. to noon May 30.
Children who are age 5 by Sept. 30, 2014, are eligible to register for kindergarten. Parents or guardians should bring the following information: the child's birth certificate, immunization records, proof of residency, Social Security card, parent identification and custody papers if applicable. Children are not required to attend registration.
