SALEM- James Howard Brown, 82, of Leetonia, Ohio, died at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at his home following an extended illness.
He was born July 22, 1931 in Washington, Pennsylvania, son of the late Benjamin H. and Leona (Jenkins) Brown
James retired in 1995 from the Plibrico Company and was the former owner and CEO of the Western Reserve Industrial Park Inc. in Boardman.
He was a member of the Greenford Christian Church and served on the Rescue Mission Board for 10 years. Other memberships included the Argus Lodge, Scottish Right Youngstown Shrine, Al Koran Shrine, Buckeye Wood Turners and the Salem Golf Club.
James served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.
James was a dedicated and loving family man and friend, and will be sadly missed by all whose lives he touched.
Survivors include his wife, Donna M. (Ensley) Brown, whom he married in 1995; a daughter, Georgia Lynn (Thomas C. Sr.) Kusiowski of Salem; a sister, Carol M. Brown of Washington, Pa.; a brother, Benjamin R. Brown of Salem; and two grandchildren, Thomas and James Kusiowski.
A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014 at the Greenford Christian Church. A luncheon will be served following the service. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. prior to the services. The cremation interment will be held at a later date.
