EAST PALESTINE - Charles E. Moore, 75, of Latta Road, died at 6:18 a.m. Wednesday at his residence following a lengthy illness.
He was born Sept. 1, 1938 in Darlington, Pa., a son of the late Otis Glenn and Eva Pauline Wilcox Moore and had been a lifelong resident of East Palestine. He had been employed at Darlington Brick for over forty years where he employed as a foreman. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
His wife, the former Geraldine Crawford, survives him as do four sons, Charles C. (Kim) Moore of Wetumpka, Ala., Randolph W. (Bonnie) Moore of East Palestine, Glenn R. (Laura) Moore of Grove City, Pa., and Jon B. (Melanie) Moore of Vero Beach, Fla.; his step-mother, Shirley Moore of Beaver Falls, Pa.; three sisters, Mary Lou Shafer of Negley, Alice Robinson of Toronto and Eva Shattuck of Clearwater, Fla.; 11 grandchildren and a great grandson.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Ferris officiating. Burial will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford.
