BELOIT- The West Branch Class of 1971 will meet for breakfast at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 28 at Perkins' Restaurant at 20040 Harrisburg Westville Road.
Reservations are not required, and all classmates are welcome. Those attending will order from the menu.

SALEM - The Salem Community Foundation will host the Banquet in Salem from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Memorial Building, 785 E. State St.
Next week's menu offers fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, peas or corn, cole slaw, fresh fruit and vegetables, and cake.

BC Wildlife Ed Center
hosting family program
EAST LIVERPOOL - The Beaver Creek Wildlife Education Center will host a fun and interesting family-oriented program from 9 to 11 p.m. Saturday.
Local naturalist Gary Meiter and participants will collect and identify the nighttime insects and gain understanding of their important role in the ecosystem.
The program will start inside and then move outside, so wear appropriate clothing and insect repellent.

Strawberry festival planned
June 28 at Lisbon Grange
LISBON - The public is invited to a strawberry festival from 4:30 to 7 p.m. June 28 at the Lisbon Grange on U.S. Route 30, three miles west of Lisbon.
Homemade ice cream sandwiches, baked beans, potato salad, cake and beverages will be available for purchase.
All proceeds will be used for grange hall improvements.
United Class of 1982
holding 20th reunion
HANOVERTON - The United Local Class of 1982 will celebrate turning 50 on July 5 at the Hickory Hollow Golf Course in Winona.
The social hour starts at 6 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m.
Reservations include a catered dinner consisting of mystique chicken breast, Swiss steak, red skin mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, corn, salad, bread and dessert. Tea, punch, and beer are included. Guests are welcome to bring their own beverages.

12th Elkton Area Reunion
will be held on July 13
ELKTON - The 12th annual Elkton Area Reunion will be held on July 13 in the Lisbon Presbyterian Church basement on East Chestnut Street.
A picnic dinner of meat, salad, dessert and beverages will be served at 2 p.m.
Anyone wishing to bring a coverdish is encouraged to do so, but it is not necessary. Reservations are required by calling Penny Harrold at 330-424-5302 before July 9.
Salem High Class of 1969
hosting 45th reunion
SALEM - The Salem High School Class of 1969 will host its 45th-year reunion featuring a weekend full of events and activities on Aug. 1, 2 and 3. There is no charge for events.
Donations will be taken at all three to help cover costs and add to a class gift to the Salem High School Alumni Association.
Activities kick off on Aug. 1 with a casual evening at 6 p.m. at 1177 N. Lincoln Ave. The meal and beer, sodas and water will be provided. Attendees may bring their favorite beverages.
A casual evening is also planned on Aug. 2 at the Italian Club on Penn Avenue with a meal and cash bar beginning at 6 p.m.
Anyone interested in playing golf on Aug. 2 is asked to contact Bob Beeson at 330-332-0991.
Anyone interested in taking the Salem Historical Society's Underground Railroad Trolley Tour on Aug. 2 is asked to contact Jeanette Stone at 330-881-1290.
Cost for this is $10 per person. A total of 15 people are needed for this tour in order for Stone to make the reservation.
A brunch will be served beginning at 10 a.m. Aug. 3 at 1177 N. Lincoln Ave.

Salem Saxon Retirees
will meet on July 2
SALEM - The Salem Saxon Retirees will meet on July 2. Snacks will be served at 11:30 a.m., followed by a catered lunch at 12:30 p.m.
Reservations are needed for the lunch by calling 330-533-5154 before June 26.
Members are asked to call and cancel if you have made a reservation and cannot attend.
Balsa Bees presenting dawn patrol over Alliance
ALLIANCE - The Alliance Balsa Bees will present its third annual World War I aircraft dawn patrol over Alliance from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
The flying field is at the northeast end of Barber Airport, three miles north of Alliance off Route 225.
The aircraft are replicas of all WWI aircraft/ranging from 2-12 feet wing span.
There will be several different flying demonstrations throughout the day. All planes will be lined up on the field at noon so visitors can look at them and ask questions.
Visitors can then vote on their favorite plane.
Tickets will be given to spectators when they arrive. The winning pilot of the aircraft will receive the People's Choice trophy. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Onsite restrooms are available.
Public breakfast scheduled
Saturday at Saxon Club
SALEM - The public is invited to an all-you-can eat breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the Salem Saxon Club, 1980 Newgarden Ave.
The menu offers sausage gravy and biscuits, bacon, sausage links, eggs, hash browns, pancakes and waffles, and fresh fruit, and beverages. Cost is $6 for adults.
