Lisbon Alumni Band practice set
LISBON - Lisbon Alumni Band practice has been set by Director Jodine Pilmer for 7 p.m. Monday at David Anderson Junior-Senior High School's band room. A run-through the morning of the parade during line-up was changed to 10 a.m. at McKinley School. Quilt Guild group to meet July 1
SALEM - United Quilt Guild's UnFinished Objects group meeting begins at 10 a.m. July 1 at the First Presbyterian Church. The business session follows at 6:30 p.m. at the Leetonia library community room. The program will be presented by Gary Lunger on several topics.

Pickleball play set at Community Center
SALEM - One of the fastest growing sports in North America, Pickleball, has quickly become popular among adults and kids as a fun game for players of all skill levels.
Pickleball is a racket sport for two to four players. The sport shares features of other racket sports, the dimensions and layout of a badminton court, and a net and rules similar to tennis with a few modifications.
To try out your Pickleball skills visit the Salem Community Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Cost is $3 for members, $4 for non-members and free for SilverSneakers with a SilverSneakers card.
Craft vendors needed for show
COLUMBIANA - Craft vendors are needed for St. Jude Women's Guild's annual St. Jude Craft Show to be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 15 at St. Jude Activity Center, 180 Seventh St. The show features handcrafted and homemade items, a Chinese auction, bake sale, prize raffle and food including vegetable beef soup. Summer camp reservations taken
EAST LIVERPOOL - Camp Fire Camp Taoka at 12385 Echo Dell Road is accepting reservations for summer camp. Day/resident camp for youth entering third, fourth or fifth grade in the fall will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m July 9-11, youth can elect to stay overnight in a cabin on the second day of camp. Cost is $50 for day camp with an additional charge of $15 for staying overnight.
Resident camp for youth entering fifth, sixth, seventh or eighth grade is July 16-18. Cost is $125. Check-in at 9 a.m. on first day and check-out by 5 p.m. on the last day.
Day camp for youth entering first through fourth grade in the fall runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 22-25. Cost is $65.
Tiny Tot camp for pre-kindgergarten youth, 3-5 years old, is scheduled 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 28. Cost is $17. Campers and their favorite adult spend the day at camp. To register call 330-385-0645.
Blood drive planned at Leetonia Library
LEETONIA- The American Red Cross is holding a blood drive from noon to 5 p.m. Monday at the Leetonia Community Public Library.
New Waterford fishing derby set
NEW WATERFORD - The village will hold its annual fishing tournament on Saturday, July 5 at the New Waterford Park.
Registration for children up to 16 years old begins at 8:30 a.m. and the fishing tournament runs from 9 to 10 a.m. There are three age divisions, five and under, six to 10-years-old and 11 to 16-years-old.
There will be over $500 in prize giveaways along with free hotdogs and pop for everyone.
Saxon Club hosts annual dance
SALEM - The public is invited to the Salem Saxon Club's annual dance from 2 to 6 p.m. July 4 in the club's air-conditioned building at 1980 state Route 9.
