Work on elevator at hospital planned
SALEM - Salem Regional Medical Center is advising the community that the elevator located in the professional services building across from the hospital (also known as the Salem Medical Center) will be taken out of service for maintenance from 5:30 p.m. Friday through 11 a.m. Monday.
During this time, patients and visitors will not be able to use the elevator in the SRMC Professional Services Building to access the elevated walkway connecting to the hospital. However, stairwell access to the elevated walkway will be available throughout the weekend.
SRMC officials are advising patients and visitors, who will be arriving at the hospital during this time, to use the hospital's new parking deck or the parking lots located on the south side of State Street, off of Southeast Boulevard and Pershing Street. Parking is free in the parking deck and throughout the entire SRMC campus. Any questions regarding this temporary change may be directed to 330-337-2895.
