SALEM - Bonnie L. Danklef, 80, of Salem, died at 8:15 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014 at the Salem Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.
She was born Oct. 15, 1933 in Salem, the daughter of the late James Roger and Regina (Tritch) Layden.
She was a 1951 graduate of Salem High School and a homemaker all of her life. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church and a member of the former Merry Mates.
She is survived by her husband, Tom, whom she married on Dec. 27, 1956.
Other survivors include her four daughters, Marcella (Tom) Madden of Pataskala, Ohio, Melinda (Mindy) (Ken) Schwingle of Salem, Michele (Alan) Kornbau of Salem and Marcia (Monte) Langstraat of New Albany, Ohio; and seven grandchildren, Michele Madden, Danielle Madden, James Schwingle, Mark Schwingle, Thomas Kornbau, Regina Kornbau and Lilly Kornbau.
She was preceded in death by her two brothers, James F. Layden and Kenneth E. Layden.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Catholic Church with Father Robert Edwards officiating. Burial will be immediately following at Grandview Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, with a prayer vigil at 7:45 p.m.
