From ,Uncle Joe {:>)

The only advantage would be to lure in newcomers that could be curious why it's called The SUPER CRUISE but there would be no guarantee about that. At any rate I'm looking foward to it. A lot of people don't like to live in a town when there is nothing going on.

Changing the name is not going to change the event. What makes the difference what it is called? Why can't we just leave well enough alone. A lot of people seem to enjoy the cruise even if some don't. It is not really my cup of tea but if the majority like it, it is fine with me but I don't really see any need to change the name.

BTW, page 234...Table V.E5.—Operations of the HI Trust Fund during Fiscal Years 1970-2020...

...has nothing to do with the premiums we pay.

Projections have also been prepared by the CMS Office of the Actuary for an illustrative alternative to current law to help quantify the potential understatement of HI costs projected for the long range under current law. If the slower price updates are not feasible in the long range and are phased out during 2020-2035, then the HI cost rate would be 5.3 percent in 2035 and 9.4 percent in 2085. These levels are about 10 percent and 90 percent higher, respectively, than the current-law estimates under the intermediate assumptions, illustrating the very strong impact of the market basket reductions scheduled in current law.

ladybug, you may be correct but the actuarial studies you refer to are based upon current law as copied above. The rates that were sent to me were based upon the changes in Obama care and their effects...either way, actuarys guess based upon certain facts and certain assumptions.

Look carefully at the 2014 rate compared to the 2013 rate. For those of you who are on Medicare, read the following. It's short, but important and you probably haven't heard about it in the Marxist liberal media."The per person Medicare Insurance Premium will increase from the present Monthly Fee of

$96.40, rising to:

$104.20 in 2012

$120.20 in 2013

And

$247.00 in 2014."

These are Provisions incorporated in the Obamacare Legislation, purposely delayed so as not to confuse the 2012 Re-Election Campaigns.

Of all the problems facing Salem what has been the priority of the Republican majority? No more than 5 cats or dogs, and changing a name of a event. Amazing...........

I'm not certain it matters.

I'm also not certain why some hate it so much...maybe they also hate Johnny Appleseed?
