I have heard you people whine and complain about Bush for the last 12 years but this is the first time I have ever heard that he was wrong for spending too much on welfare!
BTW, lilstangcat is correct in a way. Some individual amounts have been reduced because so many are asking for help. The overall numbers of people asking and receiving something has, however, exploded. We are quickly becoming like Europe, and that's nothing to be proud of.
Sorry, ladybug...I guess I missed the question as to when our country began to destruct. I guess your point is 1/20/2009...I believe it's been going on longer than that but, your correct if you are saying when it went into high gear towards destruction.
I think these parasites need to learn how to tighten their belts. Really. I did.
It is better to have less that is all yours than have lots by leeching off your fellow citizens.
I love seeing the people whining about not having food or can't pay the rent, yet they have the 50" flat screen, smart phone, all the gaming systems, and all the other stuff.
"First of all, funding has been cut repeatedly for the last three years for programs providing assistance to the poor. "
Funny (or 'funnie', if you're an insect).
Yes, it's funny. How can services be 'cut' if the amount we are paying for all these 'benefits' is exploding? Welfare and food stamp spending is off the chart, yet you say it's been cut.
I work for a non profit agency. I have been there for a number of years. Nothing is free anymore people. Under Bush, we received an over abundance of grant money. Under Obama, not so much. You need to look for spending cuts elsewhere... Well food stamps should be cut more in my opinion but whatever.
First of all, funding has been cut repeatedly for the last three years for programs providing assistance to the poor. There is absolutely no funding left in section eight. The vouchers that are out there now... That is all there is. Food stamps hav cut 2 times in the last year. Rental assiance is basically non existant unless you get help from churches.
You think it is bad after the last four years. Just wait till the end of this four years. Obama is just getting going unless the states , have the guts to stand up and say enough is enough, we will have the United Socialist States of America.
I said, "The welfare benefits are better than ever." and I got three persons disagreeing with me. Please explain. If there was a previous presidential administration that had better welfare benefits then enlighten me and the rest us and identify that administration.

" Nothing is free anymore people. "
Nothing ever has been, and nothing ever will be. If it's "free" to you, someone else is paying for it.

Facts, if considered without bias, show our country is much worse off. Even the media is beginning to print the obvious.
In addition, we have become a country fighting against each other due to the President's policies.
What can we do? Pray, demand the Constitution is followed, and elect people who will take us back to a small federal government.
