But, what a shame we have to worry so much!

Ok, maybe it's just me, I don't know. But these types of cases bother me in so many ways.
First, dumping on the police as if this is their fault is ABSURD.
This statement bothers me. "Castro enticed the women off the street with offers of a ride home."
Seriously, and I am not saying the animal that did this gets a free pass. I hope they torture and light him up in the electric chair. BUT...
What about these women? What could a 21 year old woman be thinking allowing herself to be enticed into a perfect stranger's vehicle? I can not get my head wrapped around how that STUPID mistake can happen and then results in the next 10 years of her life held in captivity. And he pulled that off with three of them. Seriously?
Instead of looking for ways to blame and point the finger at everybody else...why can't we find ways to use this stuff as learning tools.
I think this incident should be driven down the throats of young girls and adult woman over and over and over.

Bob is correct...blaming another is a sign of foolishness and in this case the bad guy is in jail. I'm so glad the girls lived and pray the nightmare fades in time.
Hindsight is 20/20! NOW everyone could've/should've done more

You are correct Whizkid, First thing is to try to blame someone other then the Bast*** the did it.
I don't believe that the police could have done more, but it sure seems as if the people in the neighborhood could have reported more to the police.
