If only for a fishing trip or baseball game w/o cell phone calls and texting. Maybe supper together every night.

Poollady I can't say I agree with you 100% While I don't think it has ever been easy to be a good parent.I think it is very challenging today for parents. The attacks on the family seems to be endless today. We have most families being raised with absentee parents. Kids have no sense of authority in their lives, hence no discipline. They spend time with their mothers and she might have one set of rules or maybe even no rules. They go visit dad and he has another idea. Then they go out in the world and there is a completely different set there. I would say it is not only much harder to be a good parent but it is just as hard being a kid this day and age.
