Has Eric Holder been an effective United States Attorney General?

  1. Yes
  2. No

Yes this Eric fellow shouldn’t be allowed to have an opinion on legal things. Only bitter old men from Eastern Ohio are allowed to give opinions.

I know others have had issues but I don't recall another AG who was so "against" the law. He picks and chooses which laws to enforce and has shown bias beyond blatant, in your face. And, he's now involved in another scandal...

7/17/13...Allegations of fraud against AG Eric Holder, other top Justice officials, several prominent Democratic operatives – including a major contributor to Hillary Clinton – and Credit Suisse Bank has been re-ignited by a federal bankruptcy judge’s decision that also apparently has derailed the U.S. Senate bid of a former Democrat governor.

The decision July 10 by Judge Bruce A. Markell dismissed a bankruptcy judgment against real estate developer Tim Blixseth.

Though seemingly unrelated, the bankruptcy decision appears to have prompted former Montana governor Brian Schweitzer to announce Saturday that he does not intend to pursue a bid to run in 2014 for the U.S. Senate. The seat has been held by retiring Dem Sen. Max Baucus, a prominent proponent of Obamacare who in recent months has described the law as “a train wreck.” And, how several hundred pages of documents allege Holder and Lanny Breuer, the assistant AG for the DOJ’s criminal division, have intervened to block recom

Sorry...And, how several hundred pages of documents allege Holder and Lanny Breuer, the assistant AG for the DOJ’s criminal division, have intervened to block recommended federal prosecutions in an ongoing dispute involving the Yellowstone Club, a private golf and ski resort now owned by Burkle and international bank Credit Suisse.

And now fraud? Only a corrupt President would keep a corrupt AG on his you agree?

Eric Holder is only doing what he does best...wasting oxygen. 45 States have either a stand your ground law or a castle law. Yes indeed, I just bet 45 state legislative bodies are going to waste tax payer dollars overturning these laws that took years to get established because Holder had and opinion. This L.O.L. "eric fellow" needs to get his nosey useless opinions out State laws and tend to FEDERAL laws.

Effective? The only thing Holder has been effective at is getting people killed!

I said it before and I'll say it again...the guy is complicit to hundreds of murders.

I just don't understand why there is any confusion on that matter.

Hitler and his inner circle never personally killed anyone in a concentration camp, so should we re-write the history books to excuse them of the atrocities? Before you go off about how this has nothing to do with that, etc., just remember...Fast & Furious had absolutely no way to track the weapons once they went out the FFL dealers' doors. No microchips, no secret spy satellites, no agents in disguise....absolutely nothing! There was no plan to recover the weapons until they were found at crime scenes. The goal was to cause deaths for political gain.

Holder and friends new exactly what they were doing. Even I am not willing to accuse them of being that stupid and incompetent.

No, NotSocialist, they are just confused. I don't believe anyone here wants more death but it is happening. I don't believe most even really open their eyes to the situation around us. It's a problem of waste and fraud and lies and cheating and stealing not affect a political agenda to the gain of the politicians...what's happening is just what our framers of the Constitution were against.

Kozy, they are not confused, they just don't care. We are living in a dog eat dog nation. I have said it once, twice an dozens of times.

Our two party system in America is destroying this country. We don't have parties of progress, we have parties of POWER. It stopped being about the people's business a long time ago. That is private country club.

Plus, when you have over 300 million people, (we the people) that can't control only 535 members of Congress it is past sad, it is frightening.

We should demanded term limits, permanent term limits a long time ago. All we have for representation in this country is the politician shuffle box.

Look at Columbiana County. No new faces. These elections are just about the same faces shuffling around into different elected positions. We have congress members that have been sitting in Congress for centuries. If we can't control locally our politicians then we will never change Washington. We are powerless.

"We are powerless."

No we are not...we demand too little and yet too much. Our society has become lazy. We, society, accepts politically correctness and made up stories that are passed along as truth. Lies are ok. Sin is smiled at as a mistake. We can stop it when those who finally stand up STAND UP and be heard.

Everyone needs to go to the library or buy a movie titled "Last ounce of courage". It might just wake you up!

Kozy my dear, I don't need my eyes open any wider and I don't need a movie to remind me that our country is in deep trouble and how are freedoms are being stripped away by BOTH PARTIES OF THIS COUNTRY.

Until all the American People, (WE THE PEOPLE) move our butts to the center of the aisle and take control our OWN PARTIES we will never stop the atrocities that are happening in this country. When I slam out emails demanding my politicians to get their butts to work I don't send them just to the Republicans I send them to the DEMS too.

This is no lie. I sent 20 emails one day with questions regarding Obamacare and I sent it to 10 Democrats and 10 Republicans. Two Democrats answered out of 10. Three republicans answered out of 10. You want hear the sick part of it. They all had the same response about how important it was to keep them in office to fight our fight for us. They all had the same scripted response and NOT ONE answered the immediate questions I had.

"Total control of all welfare back to the States."

I ran this scenario through my head one day and figured the more fiscally constrained states would see people moving out first, but of course the other states may not be able to take them all in based on their own budgets and that will cause another mass exodus, and so on. A cascade effect will occur with the bulk of the American non-working class finally settling in to those last few hold-out states that are still hanging on to their beliefs that socialism works.

Wouldn't that be sweet justice?

Kozy & WatchDog,

I just want to give both of you credit. Both of you are certainly more optimistic than I am. I have come to my own conclusion that the country is too far gone to take it back. The politicians on both sides are running it with short term planning and are only looking for results that are achievable within 2 year, 4 year, and 6 year cycles so they can keep reclaiming their short term prizes. This country will be ripped apart from the strains of political corruption, corporate greed, and the ever growing culture of division, so I am just sitting back and waiting for when the time comes to go out, pick up the pieces, and rebuild.
