Dang, that Zimmerman guy just don't know how to stay in his vehicle...lol sry i couldn't resist that one!
"Zimmerman is suing over it."
I wish him the best of luck but the reality is that NBC has some real deep pockets. He may win a verdict in his favor initially, but NBC can afford apeal after appeal. Unfortunately, the closer he gets to the Supreme Court, the less likely he will be to retain the verdict. This is because the higher courts like to side with the 1st Amendment. There is US Supreme Court case law on this and, if I remember correctly, Zimmerman will have to prove it was done with malicious intent. I think we can all safely assume that was the intent but proving it could be a whole other ordeal.

Zimmerman rescues family:
"...The car, a blue Ford Explorer SUV, overturned near an intersection outside of Sanford, Fla. last Wednesday, the Orlando Sentinel reported Monday.
Vincent says that Zimmerman thought that there might be a fire in the vehicle and he grabbed a fire extinguisher that he had inside his own truck.
Seminole County Sheriff spokesperson Heather Smith confirmed that account to TheDC, explaining that officers on the scene reported that Zimmerman was carrying a fire extinguisher.
Smith also told the Sentinel that Zimmerman was not a witness to the crash but that he drove up on the scene and, along with another person, helped the family escape..."
" The only evidence that indicated Zimmerman was a racist had to be manufactured by NBC."
THAT was disgusting. Hopefully they will pay the price... Zimmerman is suing over it.

" And if someone actually proves what MLK talked about by living the dream, escaping the culture and becoming a respected and successful member of society, that person is dismissed as an Uncle Tom that has somehow disgraced and betrayed their entire race."
Great post! So true.

"Therefore, racism will be kept an issue for a long time to come. "
I think every generation is getting better, though.

From what I know of the Zimmerman/Martin case, racism was definitely evident on the part of Martin. His statement that referenced Zimmerman as a "creepy a** c******" makes that case. The only evidence that indicated Zimmerman was a racist had to be manufactured by NBC.
It's still an issue and it likely always will be. It'll continue as long as there's a whole culture of race baiting, victimhood and believing that the little man just can't get ahead. And if someone actually proves what MLK talked about by living the dream, escaping the culture and becoming a respected and successful member of society, that person is dismissed as an Uncle Tom that has somehow disgraced and betrayed their entire race. By pointing out how things really are, you just get accused of being a racist. Oh well. Just another example of how people are sheep.

I am a racist. Racist to being called a racist because my skin is white.
I sided with the Zimmerman verdict because of the evidence, not the race baiting news media evidence, the actual trial evidence and facts. I am not happy this punk died, I angered over the fact that nobody is willing to take into consideration of all the contributing factors as to why two attitudes collided that night and the punk with the bad attitude died.
I blame his parents for his death, just as much as I blame Zimmerman just as much as I blame Martin.
NOBODY cared about Martin until his death. His troubled life played a huge part in his death and nobody is willing to talk about the truth.

"There are those in this country that have way too much to lose if racism were to be eliminated altogether. "
If tomorrow we all sat around together singing Kumbaya, how would the below mentioned race-baiters earn a living?

As long as the race-baiting poverty pimps like Al Sharpton and the 'Reverend' Jackson continue to spew their bile, it will never get better.

Sorry for the double post. I haven't done that in a long time.
Until we do away with the mindset of African-American, Hispanic-American, Native American Indian-American, Oriental-American, Arab-American, Mexican-American, White-American and so on down the line we will still have racism. All these labels do is create racism. We need to just refer to people as American and drop all the racist names that is put with it. Until we do that I don't hold out much hope.

Compared to our past, it's much better but there are those who profit from keeping it alive and well, and there are some who (of all colors) truly hate those different than they are.

Umm, the Martin/Zimmerman trial and aftermath says yes. Maybe some of that is called reverse racism, but still....
