Reid postpones vote for military authorization... Obama doesn't have the votes even in the Democrat-controlled Senate!
Not a chance in the House, Barry.

Just say no...
So, when you have a paradox situation, you must make an attempt to choose the lesser of the two evils. Kind of like being given a choice between Obama or McCain for president. In the case of Syria, I say the lesser evil is to stay out. There are more things that can go more horribly wrong if we get involved.
But ponder this...
Even if we go along with whatever the rest of the world wants us to do or not do in Syria, we are still screwed. The mere fact that our great leadership made a global spectacle of their intentions has p'ed off millions, if not billions, of people around the world. We may be dealing with the fallout of that debacle for decades to come even if we don't go anywhere near Syria.
I don't think there is a solution in Syria. Its a classic catch twenty-two paradox. Obviously, if the Assad regime ordered a gas attack on civilians, then that should be addressed, but addressing it means aiding our enemies which, according to Kerry himself, comprises about 15% to 25% of the rebel forces. Additionally, concerned made a very good point. Assuming our military can locate the WMDs, what will assure a sudden and total destruction of them. I can very easily see a lot of those canisters not incinerated upon the strike just laying there, damaged, ruptured, and leaking gas.
I'm not Catholic but...
After 10 days of debate in Europe and America, the wisest words on a path forward have come from the Pope. Francis wrote this week to Vladimir Putin, as the host of the G-20. He*******"the senseless massacre" unfolding in Syria and pleaded with the leaders gathered in St. Petersburg not to "remain indifferent"—remain—to the "dramatic situation." He asked the governments of the world "to do everything possible to assure humanitarian assistance" within and without Syria's borders.
But, he said, a "military solution" is a "futile pursuit."
And he is right. The only strong response is not a military response.
But, what is?
Just like I said before, how many do you think are shareholders in Raytheon and Lockheed Martin? But what do I know, I'm just a conceited, know it all AH with an ego and attitude problem :)
Anyone catch the photo of Obama's 'Death Stare' when he met Putin?
"Well, well, well... "
Yes, Grant, very interesting.
"Senators voting Wednesday to authorize a Syria strike received, on average, 83 percent more campaign financing from defense contractors than lawmakers voting against war...
The top three defense-campaign earners who voted “yes” were Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona) at $176,000; Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Illinois) at $127,350; and Sen. Timothy Kaine (D-Virginia) at $101,025."
I wonder why the 100,000 killed before the gas attack didn't seem to matter?
"Taking away their chemical weapons are not going to change their hearts. They will still hate each other and will use what ever they have at their disposal to kill each other with."
It's the same two old sides of Islam fighting each other almost as long as they have been killing everything that is NOT Islam.
Let em have at it, plenty of Paradise to go around.
We should stay home.
Well, well, well...

Taking away their chemical weapons are not going to change their hearts. They will still hate each other and will use what ever they have at their disposal to kill each other with. Just curious, I would like to ask those that think we should go over and blow those chemical weapons up: I wonder how many people will be affected when we put these chemicals into the atmosphere by blowing them up?
Just say NO, I don't care if the kill each other!
Well Matt, let me try to explain...
You see, it was not enough to have the Secretary of State & Defense blunder through answering questions where there may not be clear answers or the Secretary of State telling the world things that were not true or even our President drawing red lines and then saying it wasn't his red line...you see Mr. Obama needs someone to blame.
Maybe that will be the impeachable moment... as he cannot meet any of the criteria to use force by his order alone.
Associated Press’ Matt Lee was incredulous over Obama’s decision to ask for congressional ok to attack Syria. Lee asked spokeswoman Jen Psaki if there was a “group spine-removal procedure at the WH over the weekend.”
Lee appeared baffled by Kerry’s use of the word “courageous” to describe Obama’s actions. “I don’t understand why he is so full-throatedly in favor of this,” Lee said. “He over the weekend said Obama was acting courageously by taking this to Congress, & I don’t understand what is courageous about asking permission for something that you say you don’t need to do.”
Psaki attempted to explain Kerry’s comments, but only got a handful of words out before Lee interrupted her. “Was there some, like, group spine-removal procedure at the WH over the weekend?” “I don’t understand. How is this courageous?”
OBAMA FACES DEFEAT IN HOUSE...
INTERNATIONAL OPPOSITION BUILDS...
So, what happens after Obama loses the vote and much or most from his own party? What if he orders bombings anyway? Who does he blame? What about the scandals? What bout Egypt? What about our debt...the budget...funding the government...the Obama sequester?

" Maybe "only" 25% are al-Qaida, etc, but how much of the leadership, the organizers, the strategists are al-Qaida? My guess is the % there is a lot higher. "
Kerry was lying, pure and simple.
Also, the news doesn't seem to want to report that it wasn't too long ago the rebels were caught at the border with 2 liters of sarin.

"Well, rpm...I believe they gave the proof to Pelosi to hold until some time after the vote. "
We have to launch the missiles to see what is in it.
She would have been better than the RINO McCain she was running with.
If the media had given Obama half the critical attention they gave her, we wouldn't be in the mess we are in now.
WD, I thought Kozy's comment was great. Smokin' hot!
And they laughed at Palin. Isn't it amazing almost everything that woman predicted about Obama has happened. She may not have been the perfect choice to run for V.P. but by God her voice had should have never been silenced.
Whatcha talkin bout Willis? LOL

"Obama had failed the first four years but you just had to vote for him again...maybe you're the problem and what are you going to do about it? This entire mess is at the feet of those who drooled, wanting a socialist's, liberal, big government, tax and spend, anti-American way, President. Well welcome to the mess you helped create! "
