Just googled Grant Mingus. Dude that pic with the Miller lite box on your head shows me where you get your wisdom.

Dude, I don't think you are playing with a full deck of cards. Obamacare is kicking in soon, maybe you can get some help with that problem you have. Drug and mental.

Still waiting Patti, I'm not going to call you. I'm not avoiding anything, I'm just here waiting.

Grant, I don't know if you missed this with your attempt to legalize your passion of a illegal drug substance. The topic was HER OIN and the laws. Do you have any input on that?
I notice you skirted that issue. Give us your opinion.
In fact, I am sick to death of seeing residents run off from people like you Grant. More Salem residents should be able to come on here and offer their opinions without the BS that is flung at them. This is a shame.
....move along or make the call. About the only way you can save face now.
So therefore, NO, you don't know what you are doing. This is not a battle of wits. This is not scoring board. Your passion to make the world better is admirable but it is kicking your butt and it is in your approach. You can't keep being tacky to people in Salem and other residents and expect anyone to have respect for you. Or care less about what you say Especially when you attack them as if everybody is illiterate but YOU.
You think people don’t see through your charade? Grant, many on here have asked you questions. YOU AVOID THEM. You can’t bully people to your way of thinking. Chill out. Better yet, take rpmwwe advice. YOU don’t know what you are doing.

"Still waiting for the tough questions from Patti by the way."
Looks like you better call her then Grant because you backed yourself into that corner. You don't get to change the rules now.
You spouted off with something she probably has expertise in and she called your bluff. You immediately refused to debate her.
Here's what you stated.
"LOL. So says the people who ignore the science of the health benefits of marijuana. I'm not going to waste my time arguing with you." Then you proceeded to call her a nut job and few other disrespectful remarks.
She responded back and left a clear message. She busted you with a challenge. CALL HER. Treating her that disrespectful and she offered that too you? You know what Grant, knowing her background and her husband’s. You might want to start hoping you never cross their paths genius. She was playing nice more than you deserved. She doesn’t have to say another word. You lost that round, except it and move al
rpmwwe totally agree and thank you! Best comments the Salem news has had in a long long time!
Appreciate the advice rpm, and while I certainly understand where you're coming from, I'm not simply flying off the handle when I'm posting here. As I'm sure many assume. I know what I'm doing.
Still waiting for the tough questions from Patti by the way.
Okay, I will admit, I am one that would lean to legalizing at least marijuana. But, I have several friends who felt that way until they started working with youth group homes or young adults in the legal system, etc. They made a 180 after that (and these are different people in different professions). So...this really is a subject that with time, age and experience one can develop a different point of view.
rpmwwe, well said. Diplomacy. I just got a bumper sticker from my son (a diplomat) that I will not put on my vehicle, but...Goes something like: "Diplomacy is the art of telling someone to go to h--l in such a way that they want to go on the trip"
In my twenties, I was passionate, too. A few topics easily brought my blood to an instant boil and I lashed out more quickly than I should have. I had more knowledge of facts on those topics than any of my challengers, but because I allowed my passion to get ahead of me, diplomacy went out the window and my points were not well received. In time, I learned to exercise more self restraint and refine my delivery. It has worked quite well for me.
Grant, if you want to get your point across and gain credibility, then state your position on the topic, give an example or two that demonstrates why you feel your position is correct, and then add some facts, figures, or quotes to guarantee victory. Your challengers must parley with you in a like kind manner or risk losing all credibility. They won't be discredited any other way.
We all need to avoid such exchanges because we do not all see eye to eye on every topic. For example, I have exchanged shots with bug, but there have been occasions in which I sided with his opinion and I think I even ended up exchanging shots with WatchDog one day. Same with you, Grant. On some days I'm right there with you on your opinions and on others we are in opposite corners. WatchDog said you are "passionate". She is correct, you are. That can be good and that can be bad. Its good when it drives you to accomplish great things. Its bad when it alienates others during an exchange of ideas.
Scroll back through your comments and see how they are worded. Would you want someone talking to you like that? If someone did talk to you like that, would you take that person's point of view seriously or give that person any credibility? We regularly participate in daily conversations here. We are all pretty much aware of each others' points of view on politics, religion, etc. and we all pretty much get on the same teams each day and go at it, but we do it in a somewhat civilized manner without resorting to name-calling and expressions resonating with anger.
Grant, I do not want you to interpret this as an attempt at an insult or an attack on your position. I'm just trying to help you out here. You need to choose the wording of your responses with more care. Diplomacy is the key to getting your point across to others. For a twenty-something year old, you do have an incredible amount of knowledge, but what you don't have is the life experience to guide you in using it. There's no way to gain that any faster than your age will allow. Only more experience will give one you wisdom.
Mingus here's a tough question for you. Did the dope burn your brain buddy?

Basically Grant you provided nothing but your opinion.Which of course no one cares about. As far as your character . I didn't think you cared what people thought

Before you want to start telling me I'm wrong and using that case to attempt to assassinate my character, please present some evidence. I'm thus far the only one who has provided anything other than conjecture.
How do you treat your employees Grant ?
"You're right Beaumont, I'm well aware of how many of you despise wisdom." Just how is all your wisdom working out for You?
Can you read? I've invited her to ask the tough questions and make her case. I'm not side stepping anything. You're the one ignoring facts here. And apparently I am that conceited. What is her background? Is she a drug counselor or what? Like I said, it doesn't matter. There have been countless people more qualified in the science world who have published whole journals about weed that have proven to be false in the end.
For those of you interested in real information, Sanjay Gupta is a neurosurgeon and a professor of neurosurgery. Apparently being an advisor for Hillary Clinton means his investigation into marijuana holds no water and being asked by the Obama administration to be the Surgeon General and removing his name from consideration clearly shows that he has clear motivation to expose the false propaganda around marijuana.
