The FAA says cell phones are OK on flights. Should they be limited anyway to save our nerves?

I see no problem with letting people play games, mess with whatever apps, text, and stuff like that on phones because it bothers no one, but I'd still restrict phone calls as a courtesy.

This will end up being another money maker for the Airline industry. They are going to charge extra for the premium no phone call seats.

Obviously someone texting wouldn't be a problem.

Remember the days of the smoking section?--maybe we'll need a talking section--they can sit in that last row right by the bathrooms and where the seats don't go down.

While I think cell phones can be a great help while traveling and for emergencies, I see some folks have to call someone, anyone, just so they can be flapping their jaws. I wonder how we were able to operate this country for over 200 years without them. I don't even turn mine on unless I am running and errand so my wife can call if I need to do something else while I am out, and I never answer it while I'm driving. I remember when we went on vacation to "get away". I don't see how taking a cell phone would allow this. My last boss before retirement tried to give me a cell phone. That didn't happen, I would have quit first.
