I agree, and it gets even hotter when a true believer gets a tenet of his faith challenged by everybody else!

Rick Santorum was exactly right when he said, "We will never have the elite, smart people on our side." That is one of the most honest lines I have ever heard from a member of the right wing flat earth society.

Sharpton is an idiot. There are idiots on the left and on the right. The difference is that being an idiot seems to be a requirement for being a member of the right wing flat earth society.

Sorry...

Perhaps Mr. Sharpton would be better off putting away the white coat and concentrating on what he does best: dividing the American people.

Yep!

.......But, if Mr. Sharpton had conducted any honest research of his own, he would have realized that the 97% of climate researchers poll has been disproved many times over, and that most of the “gloom and doom” predictions made by the global warming theorists have not come true. Even the climate change histrionics one sees in the media after every major storm or fire are wrong, as the frequency of hurricanes, tornados, and wildfires are all way down.

Other facts arguing against the anthropogenic climate change theory include the latest report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the U.N.’s global warming organization, which acknowledges that the Earth’s temperatures haven’t gotten warmer in over 15 years. Additionally, both polar ice caps are growing at near record rates. In fact, some peer-reviewed studies are predicting the earth is about to experience a mini ice age.

.....Sharpton played four one-sentence news clips from Fox News before coming back with: “

These right-wingers are boiling over with denial. Just because it snows in winter, doesn't mean the planet isn't getting warmer. Remember, a U.N. Panel said there's a 90% probability that humans are the primary cause of global warming. And over 97% of climate researchers surveyed in the United States academy of science agrees. It sure doesn't take much for the folks at Fox to hit their melting point. The results of tonight's experiments are in. And we've deduced the right wing could use a new talking point. This has been a special edition of the Politics Nation science lab...(continued)........

From the learned left...

MSNBC's Politics Nation on Friday featured a lab coat-wearing Al Sharpton pontificating about global warming. Instead of using real facts, the racial-agitator turned faux-scientist tried to exploit the "everybody believes it's real" argument to attack those who disagree with the anthropogenic global warming theory. “

Welcome back to the first Politics Nation science lab of the new year. In the lab tonight, a right wing meltdown over global warming. A winter storm is battling much of the country and climate change scientists were stuck in ice. Which means the folks over at Fox have been trotting out a few theories of their own. Check it out...(continued)........

"Which came first, the chicken or the egg?"

And on the 12th day a fertile egg sunk in the lake and a frog got it up to the land and a monkey was born. The frog fertilized the egg. So keep frogs away from your Chickens. The Chicken then the egg then the monkey and then Man.

"Does that explain it better for you? Or did you walk 20 miles up hill both ways going to school?" Wow skin a little thin today. Some can not take a funny. In the fifties the vindicator split my bundles on Sunday. The Salem News weekdays also split them. Two ten on Sunday and 127 on weekdays

In the question, "Which came first, the chicken or the egg?", the obvious answer is the egg. At some point in time there were no chickens. Where ever you choose to draw the line between chicken and not chicken, at some point in time a not chicken produced a chicken egg. Since noSocialist also answered 'egg', I assume that he also believes in evolution. That is almost enough to give me hope for the future of Mankind.

Speaking of going to school, it would be nice if some people would get their "there or their" correct. Same with "two, to, too." It doesn't bother me as much as it does some folks, but it does make one disregard the actual comment and wonder if the typist is a 3rd grader who likes to pretend he's an adult.

Beaumont, I delivered papers by bicycle Monday through Saturday. On Sunday I had 200 very fat Youngstown Vindicators that would in no way fit on a bycycle. So on sunday I'd drive the car myself (once I got my license of course) and deliver them at 6 A.M. On this particular very cold day, my mom had mercy on me and drove so that I could get it over with faster. My point was that it was the coldest day I've ever experienced. Does that explain it better for you? Or did you walk 20 miles up hill both ways going to school?

I believe in evolution. I also believe in climate change. I'm also apparently brilliant enough to realize that man didn't create past climate changes. We weren't polluting our way to the last ice age. Nature will do what it wants, and we will adjust accordingly to survive. Giving Al Gore and a bunch of scientists like the ones stuck in the ice right now a boat load of money to "fix it" is just asinine. That's where the disconnect comes in. Except one side has empirical and rational evidence, the other is living in a fantasy world.

triple d, now you know how our whole society is failing. Idiots breading idiots. It's like this every year. Give me one really cold day and the flat earthers are out whooping and a hollerian about global warming (aka climate change). Yet this summer, like last, when areas of the country are experience heat waves of biblical proportions. Not a word. Idiots.

I remember delivering papers on Highland and adjacent streets in (I think winter of 1985-86) where it was 20 below wind chill. I would jump out of my mother's car and by the time I got back from putting the paper on the porch, I was freezing. I would spit and it would turn to ice as soon as it hit the ground. That's the coldest I've ever seen.

Perhaps the climate change theory would be a lot easier to accept if it wasn't for the radical elements that are the most vocal about promoting it. Personally, I neither support it or reject it...there isn't nearly as much evidence to make a decision as there is for the theory of evolution.
