"If not then maybe we can find some common ground."

I didn't come on here to find common ground with you. But here is what we can do. I see you are sensitive to Obama's cause. Me, I got more important things to worry about in life than worrying about a politician's failures. But, man, here is what we can do.

How about you tell me what it is you "dislike" about Obama, and then tell me what is you "liked" about Bush. Then I'll know if there is anything we could have in common.

TripleD, What you would have to look at is the history here over many polls? That is a broad argument. Not sure what your point is on that.

I made mention that I am new to joining the discussion, doesn't mean I haven't been following the news online for a long time. I read most news stories, all the comments and participate in the polls.

JamesAustin, If you are just reading this thread then I can certainly see your point. What you would have to look at is the history here over many polls. If you think that everything I post on this board is directed at you personally then nothing much I say is going to matter anyway. If you believe that everything bad you read about President Obama is true and anything good said about him is a lie then you and I will have nothing in common anyway. If not then maybe we can find some common ground.

TripleD I might be the newbie here but is that necessary? Don't want make any enemies here but, um, buddy, I think you need to take a breather. Just because she can't read your mind you think that makes her fact challenged? Then I must be also. Besides I don't think there isn't anyone that hasn't figure out your game.

I don't know about her. If you think I personally care that you served, 3 years, 7 months, and 11 days to be exact and you try and play this garbage with me and pop quiz me later with it, I won't be playing as nice as watchdog did. why don't you stop wasting space and let people get back to the topics and have a conversation. Can now see why more people don't participate. Just sayin.

TripleD I don't have time for your sick game. Are you going to get to your point? This is getting boring.

I have answered your questions. Yes, my husband and I have 9mm in our home for our protection. Yes I wrote that comment under another poll question....so are you ever going to get to your point?

You made that big announcement about your 3 year hitch. I guess that you think because I own a 9mm that gives me knowledge about guns, and I answered your question about serving so get to your flipping boring point or this conversation is done. Because seriously, I am starting to think your a lunatic.

Watchdog, "Not really. Hehe, took my husband a year to convince me about my 9 and why I should have one. Not in to guns. So I would not be a good conversationalist on that subject. LOL" You are correct. You said you were not into guns, but it did seem like you were talking about having a 9mm pistol.

TripleD, thank you for your service, now, L.M.A.O. just get to your point. We all patiently await how you are going to connect whether people who serve or don't serve is going to have relevance to supporting a death penalty for this monster. After reading your response to how you see cruel and unusual, I have no doubt in my mind this one is going to be a tizzy of a response. Knock yourself out!

For those who do not want to go back to the days of hanging, I believe the slaughter houses use a hydraulic ram to smash the skull. I think if it is good enough for a cow then it should be good enough for a prisoner that we fill the need to execute.

questioner, Yes, I believe that placing people in prison without any chance of parole for the remainder of their lives is cruel and unusual punishment. I believe that those people are a drain on our limited resources and they should be humanely put to death. I also believe our current methods of execution are not very humane. We do not need the drug cocktails or the electric chair or the gas chamber or firing squads. I believe that prisoners who we find the need to execute should be hung using a gallows with sufficient weight tied to their feet so to insure that their necks are cleanly snapped. When in doubt use enough weight so that their heads are ripped from their bodies. That may sound awful, but I believe it is more humane than having a prisoner gasp for air for 10 minutes or more. Of course I also believe that the guilt of a person to be executed should be determined beyond any doubt. Forget the idea of using reasonable doubt in the case of an execution.

TripleD, I know you usually respond, so you might have missed my question in all this verbiage:

Were you saying a sentence of life in prison is cruel and unusual punishment?

I need clarification here on one of your posts.

"One never knows whether killing the killer deters further killing but if it's the law, it's necessary to follow." It is up for debate whether killing the killer deters others from killing, but we do know for certain that killing the killing is a 100% sure way to keep that particular killer from killing again.

Fun? It is a riot. Brace yourself, you will get the wrath from some, the war on words, grammar checkers, freedom fighters, Obozo lovers, IQ checkers, name callers, google experts and some that demand evidence and proof for every word you type, battle of the wits and some, as in below, those that just can't stand the victory of defeat and won't give up. Politics are the killer. For the most part, lot of nice people and some that will bug the*****out of you. But hey, that is what makes America great. Go with the flow. Raise your flag and take a stand.

Hi James, welcome aboard. Essentially, we have daily disputes usually related to the topic questions, and sometimes they spill over from a previous day's topic. It appears we have one of those situations here now. Anyway, throw out your opinions, wait for someone to attack them or commend them, and then respond accordingly....its fun!
