What is puzzling about the pipeline is that OB's union brotherhood isn't all over his ass about jobs ...maybe thousands of them.

I am fine with building the Keystone pipeline as long as it is understood that any oil or oil product leaving the shores of the United States is heavily taxed for the benefit of the United States. That by the way, is the only reason 'Cut and Run' Palin was ever such a popular Governor. She sent every citizen of Alaska a check from the Oil flowing across that state and they are still being paid today. It is basically a wind fall oil tax that Republicans have fought tooth and nail against everywhere except in Alaska.

The Oil industry does not want the Keystone pipeline to increase American supply. The want the Keystone pipeline in order to get Oil to the Gulf of Mexico so it can be shipped to other countries.

Oil is a commodity. If you own a commodity you sell it to whomever wil pay the highest price whether it be a refiner in USA or a Japanese refiner. Also known as "supply and demand". Thus endeth today's lesson in economics.

Whizkid, So its OK for Alaskans to collect taxes on oil flowing across their state, but not for Americans to collect taxes on oil flowing across the United States? If you are really that stupid you should change your screen name.

So states must pay if damage is caused to people and property? Part time jobs for peoples health? Scab labor at it's best.
