poor St. Valentine. Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, I was beaten with clubs, beheaded, buried under the cover of darkness, disinterred by my follows and you commemorate my martyrdom by sending each other chocolates.

I can understand the depressing part of it from your side of it. Trying to guesstimate (grin) your side of how many you may or may not sell. I guess it makes sense in some ways on the other part. Those that manufacture those kind of resale items have a general idea early on how many will be in demand and they can fulfill those orders efficiently.
Yeah, but the good part is you're ordering Christmas stuff when you still have this years stuff out and on sale, or else have just put it away. So it's easier to remember what to buy or not buy.
Yep, ordered Thomas Kinkade calendars and others last month, do the rest on Tues.
Truly, it's kinda depressing to order it all so soon.

questioner, seriously, you have already ordered 2015 calendars? Wow
May I ask, if you're still reading, where you worked?
Yes I know Lang they were one of our competitors they say that but most are sent to India for all design and onto China for printing.
The American way. Calendars are or were printed in South Korea.
Glad I am out of the printing business. 45 years was enough.
Was more referring to gift items made overseas. (But I've ordered calendars already too)
Some card companies (Lang is one) tell me "All our cards are designed in the US". (Just not made here) You'd be surprised how many books are printed overseas as well.
Many companies print calendars in the US. Many are right here in Ohio.
Nope, thankfully, I have a relationship where the everyday gifts mean more to us than any assigned day of buying some material thing just to prove to someone you love them.
Ah, but I've already been ordering Christmas product from vendors (and calendars, etc)
You know, when they gotta get the stuff from China, it takes awhile, and they need to know how many to get.
Sad, very sad, but true.
Well you can be atleast thankful there not getting ready for Christmas already !!
No, that would be Sweetest Day. I really don't get that one, and a lot of areas of the country don't have it, have never heard of it. What's up with that one and why do we have it?
But there really is a St Valentine who died on Feb 14, so I don't think this one's a made up day.
ANOTHER MADE UP HOLIDAY for the corporate GREED!
