""health care EFFICIENCY" --- LOL. When you lose the argument, then change the argument. Hilarious." That's it genius! Pick out one word from one article and then pretend the rest of the data does not exist. What a joke you are.

"health care EFFICIENCY" --- LOL. When you lose the argument, then change the argument. Hilarious.

As with every state: Maryland: 60,000 Obamacare Sign-Ups, 73,000 Lost Insurance...

More without insurance, than got insurance under obummerKare. Once again proving that liberalism ALWAYS generates the exact opposite of its stated intent.

qcityfan, Do yourself a favor and google 'US healthcare ranking' and try to actually do a little bit of reading before you embarrass yourself further.

" if destroying the greatest health care in the world was the mission" If you think we had the greatest healthcare system in the world you are truly delusional. You are obviously unread. Our healthcare system is the most expensive Healthcare system in the world. It's remarkable how low America places in health care efficiency: among the 48 countries included in the Bloomberg study, the U.S. ranks 46th, outpacing just Serbia and Brazil. The U.S. actually ranks worse than China, Algeria, and Iran. Calling the US healthcare system 'the greatest health care in the world' would be funny only if it were not so sadly uniformed.

Thanks, we have great admiration for President Bush. His record is light years better than obama, on every single metric. In fact, obama makes President Bush look more like George Washington all the time.

But I digress. Back to the obamaKare disaster: if destroying the greatest health care in the world was the mission, he is well on his way. If throwing tens of millions off their good insurance was the mission, he is well on his way. If increasing premiums and deductibles was the mission; mission accomplished.

" Ha, Ha, it is all some grand conspiracy, right? Man those community organizers are the worst right? I mean what are they really up to? They go out and try to get people to vote. What a horrible way to run a country! Maybe President Obama is actually an Alien from Outer Space. Ha, Ha, too funny!

Democrats own Obamacare. The same way Republicans own President Bush, 911, and the Great Recession. Obamacare is here to stay. Get over it and find something else to cry about.

Your other garbage you hashed out came from an ABC news poll. Now go poll the entire nation and then and only then will I buy what your spilling to defend Obama and a destructive healthcare law.

"The reality is this: a huge majority of Americans are opposed to obamaKare" A perfect example of spin and BTW spelling it with a 'K' just makes you look an ignorant hick. If you had read the last few posts you would see that even the most die-hard Obama haters admit that 'In this most recent poll, 49% of Americans responded that they supported the ACA.' You can whine all you want but you no longer have the majority on this and the longer it goes, the less support you will be able to find. The new Kaiser poll found 53% have grown tired of the debate and want leaders to focus on other issues instead, while 42% say the debate should continue. Among independents, 51% are weary of the debate and 45% think it should continue. Only Republicans want debate to continue, by a 2% margin (47% to 49%). About three in 10 Republicans oppose repeal in any form. So no you do not have a majority.

No need to spin anything. The reality is this: a huge majority of Americans are opposed to obamaKare, and they are opposed to it because of its disastrous consequences: sky rocketing premiums, massive deductibles, taxpayer subsidies, limited choice, and administrative nightmares. obamaKare is the largest policy disaster in the history of the U.S., and most people know it, which is why most people are so adamantly opposed to it. Not only is it destroying the insurance market (probably the marxist's plan all along), it will destroy the greatest health CARE the world has ever known.

"You can't spin that. But I know who will try. " I do not need to spin it because it is BS. More people now support the ACA than do not regardless of you pathetic attempts at word games. The ACA was exactly what was needed to control the runaway Insurance Companies. A single payer system would have been better but this is the United States Congress and the ACA is the simply best we could do. Republicans could have never passed any meaningful healthcare reform. They are not the self-sacrificing types. As a result of the Affordable Care Act the Republicans will probably win the Senate this year, but they will never win the 2/3 majority needed to repeal the ACA. By the end of 2016 there will be 30 million insured under the ACA. CBO estimates clearly show that more people will have insurance with Obamacare than without Obamacare. You can spin that anyway you want but any attempt to take away health insurance from 30 milion people in 2016 will lose you both the Senate and House m

Do some people really not know that the ACA also known as the Affordable Care Act is also known as Obamacare? I guess they are so busy being against it that they forgot to check out what 'it' is! Too Funny!!! :>)

TripleD I find no humor in a health care law that has affected and harmed so many people. I find no humor that a majority of young adults under the age of thirty do not know the difference of Obamacare or ACA.

We are lucky in this country if half of the American people follow politics and actually know what is happening in our Government so I find no humor in any of that.

But then again, Democrats rely on the ignorance and under educated of our country to put your destructive party into office.

TripleD claims: "As long as we have the Affordable care Act that will not be allowed to happen. Ridicules rate increases like that will not be allowed to happen."

TripleD, President Obama just stated before the American people that insurance premiums will likely increase because of the insurance companies will be doing a calculating assessment of the insurance pool for the past year because it can not be avoided.

For you to sit here and make up that hideous lie that actually goes against your President just to continue to protect a failing health care law is disturbing.

"Obamacare will cost large companies between $4,800 and $5,900 more per employee and add hundreds of millions to their overhead" You forgot to mention that in the phony study by Tevi D. Troy (former Bush deputy secretary U.S. Department of Health and Human Services) and Mark Wilson (Heritage Foundation) that the $6000 increase is the sum total over the next 10 years based on the previous healthcare cost trends before Obamacare began reducing healthcare costs. So that works out to $50 more a month, if we could believe numbers from people whose sole purpose in publishing a study from an organization that no one ever heard of is to create as much damage as possible to Obamacare for purely POLITICAL reasons.

"Obamacare will cost large companies between $4,800 and $5,900 more per employee and add hundreds of millions to their overhead" As long as Obamacare is in place, the insurance companies will not be allowed to raise rates that much. Of course if Republicans manage to repeal it and strip healthcare from million of people that might happen. "The American Health Policy Institute conducted a confidential survey of 100 large employers" Some might find it strange that when you google 'The American Health Policy Institute' nothing by that name shows up. Others who go by the golden rule of 'If you cannot say something bad about Obamacare, then don't say anything at all" will ignore that little piece of information.

And coverage before ACA?

Las Vegas (CBS LAS VEGAS) – Just days after the deadline to enroll for insurance coverage through Nevada Health Link, the first class-action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of residents who say they signed up and paid their premiums – but were never given coverage.

Law firm Callister & Associates filed the lawsuit on behalf of Larry Basich, who signed up for state health insurance and paid premiums as far back as November, but then was not covered following a Jan. 3 triple bypass procedure that saw his $400,000 in medical expenses passed between the wrong insurance companies, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

And, many more to come?

In a report that aired on Topeka, KS ABC affiliate KTKA on Tuesday, Newman Regional Hospital in Emporia, KS is scaling back some services as a means of countering the "negative financial impacts of the Affordable Care Act."

According to KTKA, the cuts at the hospital are due to a projected $3.5 million loss this year. These cuts will result in 10 full-time employees and five part-time employees being laid off permanently and are expected to save the hospital $1 million annually.

“It’s looking into the future," Newman Regional CEO Bob Wright said to KTKA. “Knowing that we need to make a profit, having the advantage of critical access getting us most of the way there but having really to do our part as good stewards of our resources to make sure that we’re profitable.”

Considering nothings free...are prices going up?

Obamacare will cost large companies between $4,800 and $5,900 more per employee and add hundreds of millions to their overhead, according to a new survey.

The American Health Policy Institute conducted a confidential survey of 100 large employers—those with 10,000 or more employees—asking what costs they expect to incur from Obamacare over the next decade.

Factoring in the health care law’s added mandates, fees, and regulatory burdens, employers anticipate cost hikes between $163 million and $200 million in 2016 for their employees’ health care.

One of the biggest players in Obamacare's exchanges says 15 to 20% of its new customers aren't paying their first premium—which means they're not actually covered.

The latest data come from the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association, whose members—known collectively as "Blues" plans—are participating in the exchanges in almost every state. Roughly 80 to 85% of people who selected a Blues plan through the exchanges went on to pay their first month's premium, a BCBSA spokeswoman said Wednesday.

The new statistics, particularly from such a large carrier, help define how many people are actually getting covered under the Affordable Care Act.

The Blues' experience is in line with anecdotal estimates from other insurance executives, who indicated earlier in the enrollment process that they received payments from about 80% of people who selected their plans. If so the total would be at about 5.7 to 6 million.

And, how many have lost their insurance, their Doctor, their Hospital? Ho
