Room size, bed size, televisions, heating/cooling system, outside not inside entrances to some rooms--Timberlanes was dated Before it closed.
I'd still like the banquet facility it had, the restaurant, lounge.
Could they do away with the motel part (and it was motel not hotel) and keep the rest?

It seems to me that Timberlanes was already behind the 8-ball from being closed so long. Now that a brand new and modern hotel is coming in, Timberlanes is probably doomed. You might as well tear it down and build something new. As Watchdog said, maybe something to help and bring in tourism.
where is the better chain restraunts in salem

I agree, WatchDog...
Ah. Got it.
Sorry you miss understood. I believe it's the liq. license that's holding up Timberlanes.
Yes, ladybug, it will (does) have a liquor license--I thought for a lounge, even tho most Holiday Inn Expresses don't have them. There's a restaurant to go there too.
Q, I was thinking the same thing. Seems Timberlanes has gone off the grid.
Gosh, I am sure praying it is successful. What Mr. Herron had to go through to get it up and going, phew! It sure can open up doors of opportunity in so many ways and I am hoping that Mr. Herron can make an impact in Salem because of it. This city is in dire need of change and progress. Now if we had a productive tourism board, oh what a impact it could make but not going to hold my breath.
Yes it will succeed because it is needed in Salem OK !
Liq. License ?
No ! There just building it for the*****of it SNews.
