Obama wants a review done of the program that gives these vehicles and equipment to local and state law enforcement.

Why? Has one of these depts/agencies done something inappropriate with the equipment? More likely, he wants the street thugs to not feel intimidated during their rioting and looting protests.

I'm sure his lack of direct control over local and state LEOs doesn't set well with him either.

Did you see our sheriff's office just got two humvees?

I guess that it "militarizing" but it also seems like a good use of former military vehicles (and wasn't our only cost gas from Dayton or something?) Cheap equipment is okay with me. Are they supposed to say no?

I'll tell you...

If a minority is committing a crime then you had better let him or her do it and get away with it, or you may find yourself with a shattered life as well.

Absolutely correct. And yet another reason I'm glad, for as many years that I tried, that I never became a LEO.

" A Town Near You? ICE Reveals Locations of Convicted Murderers It Freed

By Jessica Vaughan, August 22, 2014

The 169 aliens with homicide-related convictions who were freed by ICE in 2013 were booked out of detention facilities in 24 different states, with the largest number in California, according to information provided to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa). ICE records show that these convicted killers were associated with 96 different cities and towns across America. The city with the largest concentration was Miami, with seven convicted murderers freed by ICE, followed by Los Angeles with six."

Isn't it nice for Obama to let these scum join us here in the US?

Nice map, the closest killers to us were released in N. Olmsted and Sharon, PA.

Check it out, see if any killers are now living near you/yours:

"The newly-surfaced TSA letter was penned on August 7, according to the Gateway Pundit. It was reportedly sent from the TSA to Rep. Kenny Marchant (R-TX), a member of the Border Security Caucus. The letter confirms that illegal aliens are being allowed to board planes using a Notice to Appear form (also known as I-862), as Darby revealed in July. "

"HOUSTON, Texas -- A new letter from the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) admits that illegal aliens were being allowed to board planes using Notice to Appear forms they received after entering the U.S. illegally. The revelation directly contradicts a TSA statement last month denying such allegations to various media outlets, including Breitbart News. In July Breitbart Texas Managing Director Brandon Darby broke the news that the TSA was letting illegal aliens board planes using Notice to Appear forms; subsequently, a TSA spokesperson publicly attacked Darby on Twitter, insisting that his report was "completely wrong." "

Try getting on a plane without proper ID of you are a citizen.

Unbelievable.

...Brown’s shooting, being as it was a white-on-black shooting that created a riot, has drawn the attention of the world, including some of America’s biggest race hucksters. Taylor’s has been ignored by almost everybody, especially Attorney Criminal Eric Holder and President Barack Obama."

"A recorded telephone interview with a highly credible and prominent Murrieta community leader on Sunday July 14, 2014 when it was revealed that frontline U.S. Border Patrol agents threatened to stand down if the Department of Homeland Security executed a plan to use force upon protestors [sic] if they impeded buses transporting undocumented immigrants into the Murrieta processing facility.

“Most of the Border Patrol agents here at this facility are residents of Murrieta, and when they found out that the DHS was going to come in with riot gear, the agents declared that they would not obey any unlawful orders which violate the Constitutional rights of peaceful protestors.” said the informant. "According to the whistleblower, who has thus far remained anonymous for fear of reprisal, the Department of Homeland Security on orders from the White House was preparing to disperse the protesters with physical force if necessary. Federal riot police were being mobilized, complete with riot gear, body armor and armored personnel carriers.

When local law enforcement and border patrol agents, many of whom live in Murrieta, got wind of the plot they reportedly pushed back against the Federal government and themselves protested behind closed doors.

In an exclusive expose regarding the immigration standoff in Murrieta, California, it was revealed by a confidential informant inside the Murrieta U.S. Border Patrol facility that the real reason busses stopped delivering illegal immigrants was due to a virtual mutiny within the U.S. Border Patrol ranks."

If we needed a look at what America will be when the police and the Department of Defense are the same guys, we’re seeing it in Ferguson, thanks to what appears to be a federal program to give every suburban police department light-armored vehicles and light artillery."

If there is a concern that the police violated a person's civil rights during the incident, then a federal investigation is also conducted by the U.S. Attorney General's Office to determine if the police violated federal civil rights statutes. If evidence suggests a violation occurred, federal charges can be filed in federal court for that violation in addition to the state criminal charges filed at the local municipal/common pleas courts.

The federal charges can be filed with or without state charges being filed. They do not need local cooperation.

Typically, after a police involved shooting or other serious incident involving use of force by the police, details of the incident are presented to a grand jury by the local county prosecutor and the grand jury makes a decision as to whether or not the officer(s) should be charged with a crime under state law. For example, murder, manslaughter, felonious assault, etc.

Fortunately, most cases are justified and the grand jury no-bills the case. In those cases where the use of force was not justified, state charges are filed.

If they have to investigate whether or not it can be done, it does sound like a witch hunt--"Can we get him by doing this if no one else can find him guilty"

Even worse than the Federal influence in Trayvon Martin.

The chief medical examiner of St. Louis County, who performed the first autopsy on Michael Brown after he was shot on Aug. 9, says that she is concerned by one of the men hired by the Brown family to conduct its own exam.

“I can tell you absolutely that I find what Parcells does to be abysmal,” He has been accused in the past of fabricating his job title and of conducting autopsies without a license.

Mary Case, along with a number of other medical examiners and pathologists have been heavily critical of Parcells.

“He is doing forensic autopsies which may send someone to prison, and he is not a physician much less a forensic pathologist,” she told TheDC, adding that forensic pathologists and medical examines throughout the U.S. “are shocked by this man and how bold he is to do what he does.”

“No one stops him,” she said.

Another story coming out of St. Louis is of two white police officers shooting to death a black man wielding a knife as he approached the officers. There is a cell phone video of the incident. Why they are trying to make this a black and white thing is beyond me (as is the Ferguson shooting). I'm fairly certain, after watching the video on youtube, those officers were going to shoot their attacker regardless of skin color. I think they just wanted to live.

I'm afraid the severe beating is the least of the officer's problems. According to the AP story I read last night, Holder went out there with all of his biases intact and he's looking for this guy's head.

If charged and convicted of civil rights violations in a federal kangaroo court, Officer Wilson could get prison time and be left very vulnerable to law suits. That means goodbye freedom, goodbye career, goodbye pension, and goodbye everything he has worked for up until then all in the name of some left wingnut racist's idea of "justice".

Far too long after the riots, looting and anger...

Darren Wilson, the Ferguson, Mo., police officer whose fatal shooting of Michael Brown touched off more than a week of demonstrations, suffered severe facial injuries, including an orbital (eye socket) fracture, and was nearly beaten unconscious by Brown moments before firing his gun, according to a source close to the department's top brass.

“The Assistant (Police) Chief took him to the hospital, his face all swollen on one side,” said the insider. “He was beaten very severely.”
