Rebels secure win over Bulldogs

EAST PALESTINE – Ashley Harrison tallied 20 points as Crestview knocked off East Palestine 51-43 on Thursday in an Inter-Tri County League upper tier showdown.

Morgan Newbauer added 16 points.

Haley Hall had 13 points to lead the Bulldogs. Kelsey McKim added four rebounds.

Crestview led 27-20 at the half and 42-31 after three quarters.

South Range 66,

Mineral Ridge 21

GREENFORD – South Range raced out to a 14-point lead after one quarter and never looked back as they cruised to a 66-21 win over Mineral Ridge on Thursday night.

Lexi Naples recorded a game-high 20 points to lead all scoreres. Ashley Sharp added eight points for South Range while Sara Surr pulled down a team-high 11 rebounds.

The Raiders stifled the Rams with defense, not allowing Mineral Ridge to put up a double-digit quarter and giving up just three points in the third quarter.

Peyton Allen paced Mineral Ridge with 10 points while Alyssa Harleins added six points in the loss.

South Range also won the jayvee game 71-19.

United 73, Springfield 42

NEW?MIDDLETOWN – United kept their firm grasp on the top spot of the ITCL upper tier with a 73-42 win over Springfield on Thursday night.

A trio of Eagles recorded double figures as United remained undefeated in leaugue play. Emily Zehentbauer led the Eagles (16-2, 10-0 ITCL upper tier) with 25 points, including four three-pointers. MacKenzie Gatchel added 19 points and also connected on four three-pointers. Courtney Hydrick also poured in 12 points in the win for United.

Baylee Felger and Jillian Tabaka paced Springfield (4-11) with 12 points each. Callie Ford added nine points in the loss.

United also won the jayvee game 51-19. Morgan Smith led the Eagles with 11 points.
