West Branch doubles up United
HANOVERTON-Melinda Trimmer had 13 points and 10 assists as state-ranked West Branch beat United, 58-27, Monday.
The Warriors, ranked 11th in the Division II state poll, snapped a two-game losing streak to improve to 12-3 overall.
Pavin Heath connected on three three-pointers and finished with 11 points. Amanda Linhart added 10 points and six rebounds.
United (7-9) was led by Mackenzie Gatchel with 15 points. Morgan Smith had six rebounds.
The Warriors also won the junior varsity game, 44-11. Madi Smith had four points for the Eagles.
West Branch will host Alliance on Wednesday, while United will play at East Palestine on Thursday.
