Lakeview overrides Salem

CORTLAND – The Salem girls basketball team’s season came to a close Saturday as top-seeded Lakeview beat the Quakers, 63-28, in a Division II sectional tournament opener.

The Bulldogs’ offense was just too much for the Quakers as a three-point lead turned into 16 by halftime, setting the tone for the remainder of the game.

Alli Pavlik led the Bulldogs with 17 points, while Laney Lytle and Addison Becker scored 12 apiece.

The Quakers were led by Rylee Meals with eight points and Julia Dundon with six.

Lakeview host Hubbard Thursday in the sectional final.
