Warriors fall to Bulldogs

POLAND – Poland raced out to a 23-point halftime lead on the way to an 81-55 win over West Branch in a regular-season finale Monday.

Jacob Wolfe led all scorers with 24 points for the Bulldogs. Danny Black followed with 11 points, while Jake Burns and Steven Andrews each had nine.

The Bulldogs scored 22 points in each of the first three quarters as they led 22-12, 33-21 and 66-39, respectively.

Kip DeShields topped West Branch with 16 points. Dustin Greenawalt added 11.

Poland wraps up the regular season with a 20-2 record, while West Branch dropped to 6-16.

The Bulldogs also won the reserve game, 72-58.

West Branch opens Division II sectional tournament play at Struthers at 7 p.m. Wednesday with the winner advances to play at top-seeded Poland on Saturday.
